Local Storage Data

Our Favorites feature stores listing IDs in your browser's localStorage. This data never leaves your device and is not transmitted to our servers. You can clear this data at any time through the Favorites page or by clearing your browser data.

Information Collected Automatically

When you access our Service, we may automatically collect certain information, including:

  • Device Information: Browser type, operating system, device type, and screen resolution.
  • Usage Data: Pages visited, time spent on pages, click patterns, and referring URLs.
  • Location Data: Approximate geographic location based on your IP address.
  • Geolocation Data: If you use the "Near Me" feature, your browser may share your precise location with our Service. This data is used only to find the nearest city and is not stored or transmitted beyond the initial request. You can deny the browser's geolocation prompt at any time.
  • IP Address: Your internet protocol address for analytics and security purposes.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

  • To operate, maintain, and improve our Service.
  • To process business listing submissions and claims.
  • To display reviews and ratings on business listings.
  • To respond to your inquiries and provide customer support.
  • To send administrative communications related to your account or submissions.
  • To analyze usage trends and improve user experience.
  • To detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, or technical issues.
  • To serve relevant advertisements through third-party ad networks.
  • To comply with legal obligations.

Marketing and Promotional Emails

When you submit a business listing and affirmatively opt in by checking the marketing consent box, we may send you emails about GlowUpFinder features, product updates, tips for beauty and wellness businesses, and promotional offers - including our paid subscription services (Featured at $9.99/month and Premium at $19.99/month for enhanced placement, lead generation, and performance reporting). We do not share your email address with third-party advertisers for their own marketing.

We may still send you transactional emails (for example, a submission confirmation, status updates about your listing, or responses to messages you send us) even if you do not opt in to marketing, because these communications are necessary to provide the Service you requested.

You can opt out of marketing emails at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any marketing email, or by emailing support@tpsworldwidellc.com.

3. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to collect information about your browsing activity. Cookies are small data files stored on your device that help us improve our Service and your experience.

We use the following types of cookies:

  • Essential Cookies: Required for the Service to function properly, including session management and security.
  • Analytics Cookies: Help us understand how visitors interact with our website so we can improve it.
  • Advertising Cookies: Used by third-party ad networks to serve relevant advertisements.
  • Affiliate Referral Cookies: When you click certain product links, affiliate partners such as Amazon may place referral cookies or use similar tracking so they can attribute a qualifying purchase to GlowUpFinder.

You can control cookie preferences using the consent banner that appears on your first visit, or by clicking the Privacy Choices link in our footer at any time. You can also control cookies through your browser settings. Note that disabling certain cookies may affect the functionality of our Service.

4. Third-Party Services

We may use the following third-party services that collect and process data:

  • Google Analytics: We use Google Analytics 4 to analyze website traffic and usage patterns. Google Analytics collects data through cookies and provides us with aggregated reports. For more information, see Google's Privacy Policy.
  • Google AdSense: We use Google AdSense to display advertisements on our website. AdSense may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to our website or other websites. You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.
  • Amazon Associates: We participate in the Amazon Associates Program. When you click an affiliate link to Amazon, Amazon may collect referral information and place cookies to track qualifying purchases. For more information, see Amazon's Privacy Notice.
  • Cloudflare: Our website is hosted on Cloudflare, which provides CDN, security, and performance services. Cloudflare may collect limited data for these purposes. See Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.
  • Stripe: When you purchase a Featured Listing subscription, payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. We do not receive or store your full card number, CVV, or bank account details. Stripe handles payment data directly. We receive a customer ID, email, subscription status, and the last four digits of the card used so we can manage your subscription and send receipts. See Stripe's Privacy Policy.
  • Resend: We use Resend to deliver transactional and marketing emails (welcome emails, submission confirmations, subscription receipts). Resend processes the recipient email address and email content. See Resend's Privacy Policy.

4a. Payments and Billing

GlowUpFinder offers paid subscription tiers: Featured ($9.99/month) and Premium ($19.99/month). All payments are processed by Stripe, Inc., a PCI-DSS Level 1 compliant payment processor. GlowUpFinder never sees or stores your full payment card details.

When you subscribe, Stripe collects your name, billing address, card number, CVV, and expiration date. This information is transmitted directly to Stripe over a secure connection. We receive a Stripe customer ID, your email address, your subscription status (active, past due, canceled), the subscription plan, and the last four digits of your card so we can service your account.

To cancel your subscription or update your payment method, use the "Manage Subscription" button in your Business Dashboard, which opens the Stripe Customer Portal. You can review Stripe's data practices in the Stripe Privacy Policy.

Appointment Requests: If a business has the Premium plan, customers may submit appointment requests through their listing page. When you submit an appointment request, we collect your name, email, phone number (optional), preferred date/time, service interest, and message. This information is stored in our database and shared with the business owner so they can follow up with you.

5. Third-Party Business Data

Some business listings on GlowUpFinder are created using publicly available information, including data obtained through the Google Places API. This information includes business names, addresses, phone numbers, hours of operation, ratings, review counts, and photos.

Photos displayed on business listings may be sourced from Google Places and are shown with appropriate attribution to the original contributors as required by Google's Terms of Service.

Business owners can take control of their listing by using our Claim process, which allows them to verify their identity and manage their business information directly. Business owners may also request correction or removal of their listing through our Removal Request page.

We make reasonable efforts to keep business information accurate and up to date, but we do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any business listing data.

5b. User-Submitted Photos

When business owners submit photos through our add-business form or business dashboard, the photo URLs are stored in our database. We do not host or store the actual image files. Photos are displayed on your listing page and may be visible to all visitors. By submitting photos, you confirm that you own the rights to those images or have permission to use them. You can remove your submitted photos at any time through your business dashboard.

5c. Business Owner Dashboard

When you log into the business owner dashboard, we collect your email address and create a session to authenticate your identity. Session data is stored securely and expires after 7 days of inactivity. We use passwordless magic link authentication, which means we never store passwords for business owner accounts.

5d. Business Submissions

When you submit a business through our add-business form, the information you provide (business name, address, phone, email, hours, photos, and other details) is stored in our database and may be displayed publicly on your listing page after approval. Your email address is used for communication about your submission and listing, and is never displayed publicly.

6. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information in the following circumstances:

  • Public Content: Reviews, ratings, and business information you submit are displayed publicly on the Service.
  • Service Providers: We may share data with trusted third-party service providers who assist us in operating our Service.
  • Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, regulation, or legal process.
  • Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of the transaction.

7. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law. Business listing information and reviews are retained for as long as the listing remains active on our platform. Contact form submissions are retained for up to 12 months. You may request deletion of your data by contacting us.

8. Data Security

We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your personal information. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
